I am Su. I am a game designer with a background in brand strategy and project management. I see games as the most powerful art form. My passion is creating curious and experimental playful experiences.
I practice iterative, empathic and subtractive design, and insight-driven, analytical design. I aspire to contribute to the videogames industry by developing innovative, high-quality products.
Currently, I am a Master of Arts candidate in Games Design at UAL: London College of Communication, graduating in December 2018. I enjoy experimenting with circular layout, tactility and the synergy of sound and movement. I learn by making; I value target audience research and profiling, sketching, paper prototyping and rapid digital prototyping. I work with Unity3D (C#), Adobe Creative Suite and Blender.
I have experience in gameplay and game economy balancing and level design. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, and I can make spreadsheet models and use game maths for leveraging design practice.
I studied my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, and worked full-time for three years in a large conglomerate in Istanbul. During my professional experience, I gained perception management, brand strategy and event organisation skills as well as team coordination, project administration.
After assisting projects for 2 years, I had the opportunity to initiate and manage my own project within the organisation, which was an adventure arcade mobile game targeted to children. While working on this game project, I realised that I wanted to be a part of the video game industry and make play for the rest of my life.
I was born and raised in Izmir, Turkey. I have lived in the USA, Spain and South America for short periods of my life, and now I am based in London, UK. I speak English, Spanish and Turkish fluently.
